Nowadays we can find quite a lot of information about Clark Ashton Smith thanks to the work of literary historians or the accounts of his contemporaries who are still with us be it his older students or fans. While alive, Smith remained mysterious; his correspondence depicts him as someone reserved. He didn\u2019t leave any memoirs or autobiographies behind, in his life he experienced temporary popularity and only a tiny, but very dedicated community kept his oeuvre alive. CAS\u2019s carrier was short, but it had undoubtedly marked the world of weird fiction. The documentary entitled Clark Ashton Smith: The Emperor of Dreams<\/a> commemorates this fascinating yet often ignored carrier, allowing the viewers to discover and understand the personality of the \u201cHermit of Auburn\u201d as well as the uniqueness and importance of his art.<\/p>\n

We can proudly say that the Hungarian H.P. Lovecraft society has a good relationship with many prominent members of the international weird scene that is how, thanks to the kindness of Derrick Hussey<\/a>, we had the chance to watch the documentary.<\/p>\n
